Privacy Policy
- House AI redesigns a photo of your room using a third-party AI image service. You choose the photo from your Camera or Photo Library.
- Your room photo is sent through our secure server to Replicate, Inc. only to generate a redesigned image. It is processed transiently and is not retained on our servers after processing.
- We do not sell your photos, do not use them to train our own models, and do not display third-party ads or use third-party analytics SDKs.
- There is no account and no login. We ask for a one-time, in-app consent before your first generation.
- Because the AI runs on Replicate’s infrastructure, your photo may be processed on servers located in the United States.
1. Introduction & Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Khanh Thong Le (“we,” “us,” or “our”), the developer of the iOS application House AI (the “App”), handles information in connection with your use of the App. It applies only to the App and not to any third-party websites, products, or services that the App may reference or connect to, except as expressly described in the Third-Party Services section below.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the App. This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service.
2. Information We Collect
House AI is designed to collect as little information as possible. There is no user account, no login, and no profile. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any contact details to use the App.
2.1 Room photos you choose (User Content)
To redesign a room, you select an image either by taking a photo with your device’s Camera or by choosing an existing image from your Photo Library. The App validates that the image appears to depict a room and then transmits it through our secure server to a third-party AI image-generation service to produce a redesigned result. We refer to this image as “User Content.” User Content is processed transiently for the sole purpose of generating your design and is not stored on our servers after the result is returned.
2.2 Information we do NOT collect
We do not collect or maintain: account credentials, contact information, precise or coarse location, contacts, advertising identifiers (IDFA), behavioral analytics, or device fingerprints. We do not display third-party ads or use third-party analytics SDKs.
2.3 Technical information processed for delivery
When the App communicates with our server, basic technical data inherent to any internet request (such as an IP address and standard request metadata) may be processed transiently by our hosting infrastructure to route and secure the connection. We do not use this data to build a profile of you, and we do not combine it with your photos to identify you.
2.4 On-device data
Any temporary files, the most recent result you have not yet saved, and basic app settings remain on your device under your control. You may remove the App at any time to delete on-device data associated with it.
3. How We Use Information
We use the limited information described above only to:
- Validate that your selected image depicts a room and generate a redesigned image from it;
- Transmit your User Content securely to the third-party AI service and return the result to your device;
- Operate, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the App and our server (for example, to prevent abuse or diagnose connectivity errors);
- Comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not use your User Content to train our own machine-learning models, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
4. Third-Party Services
To generate redesigned images, House AI relies on a third-party artificial-intelligence image-generation provider:
- Replicate, Inc. — an AI model-hosting platform that performs the image generation. Your room photo is sent to Replicate (via our secure server) so that an AI model can produce a redesigned image, which is then returned to your device. Replicate’s handling of data is governed by its own privacy policy, available at https://replicate.com/privacy. We encourage you to review it.
We operate a secure server (a proxy hosted on Modal) that sits between the App and Replicate. The server forwards your image to Replicate for processing and returns the generated result; it does not retain your photo after processing. Apart from this AI processing service and the hosting/transport infrastructure required to deliver it, the App does not integrate third-party advertising networks or third-party analytics SDKs.
5. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:
- To provide the core feature. Your room photo is shared with Replicate, Inc. solely to generate your redesigned image, as described above.
- Service providers / infrastructure. Our hosting and transport providers process requests on our behalf strictly to operate the App. They are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of users, the public, or us.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
6. Data Retention
Your room photo is processed transiently to generate a result and is not retained on our servers afterward. We do not maintain a server-side library of your images. Any generated result that you have not saved remains temporarily on your device and is subject to your control; if you choose to save a result, it is stored in your device’s Photos under your management. Replicate’s retention of data during processing is governed by its own policy (see https://replicate.com/privacy).
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect information while in transit, including encryption of network connections (HTTPS/TLS) between the App, our server, and the AI provider. Our server enforces access controls to limit who and what can reach it. No method of transmission or processing over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You use the App with the understanding that you transmit User Content at your own discretion.
8. International Data Transfers
We are based in Vietnam. The AI image generation is performed by Replicate, Inc., whose servers may be located in the United States or in other countries. As a result, when you generate a design, your room photo may be transferred to, and processed in, a country other than the one in which you live, and the data-protection laws of that country may differ from those of your jurisdiction. By using the generation feature, you acknowledge and consent to this cross-border processing for the purpose of producing your redesigned image. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information. Because the App does not maintain user accounts or retain your photos on our servers, the practical amount of personal information we hold about you is minimal.
9.1 EEA / UK (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Our legal bases for processing are your consent (for sending your photo to the AI service) and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the App. You may withdraw consent at any time by not using the generation feature.
9.2 California (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you may have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
9.3 How to exercise your rights
To make a request, contact us at thongintech@gmail.com. We will respond consistent with applicable law. Because we do not hold accounts, we may be unable to associate a request with specific data we no longer retain.
10. Children’s Privacy
House AI is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at thongintech@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps to address it.
11. Your Choices & Data Requests
You are always in control:
- Permissions. The App requests access to your Camera (to photograph a room) and your Photo Library (to choose an existing photo and, with your permission, to save results). You may grant or revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security or in the App’s entry under iOS Settings. Denying a permission may limit related features.
- One-time consent. Before your first image generation, the App presents a one-time, in-app consent describing that your photo will be sent to a third-party AI service (Replicate) for processing. Generation does not proceed unless you accept.
- Deletion. Because we do not retain your photos on our servers, you can delete on-device content through the Photos app and remove all App data by deleting the App.

12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after an update becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
